Brushing is an important ritual for your pet's health. It prevents parasites, stimulates blood circulation, and strengthens your bond. It should be done gently, especially around the eyes, ears, and nose, to avoid irritation or injury. While brushing should be done weekly, carding can be less frequent. To check if you’re doing it correctly, ensure that the carder collects the hair evenly, without any bald spots.
Start by brushing your pet with a wide-toothed comb, then gently grip the carder and use movements involving only your wrist, always following the direction of the coat, so you can untangle the knots without causing discomfort to your pet.
